Even if the whole world seems gray to you,
you can find a place that lights it all up for a moment.

My full name is Sabine-Nicole, but all of my friends just call me Nicky. I'm 25 years old and I grew up in a very small town in Germany.
My childhood was great until I got 12 or 13 - I miss those early days pretty much. I was so much into music back then - I've played several instruments. I took classes two times a week. But then - the stubborn came out of me. So, the time after I was 12 I would like to erase out of my life if I could. I've quit the music lessons and I was starting to cause much trouble for my parents - I've skipped school every now and then. I told them I was in school when I was not and all that stuff. I would like to turn back the time. I regret it so much.
My parents seperated from each other when I was 14. At the same time I was battling injuries I had from a accident, so it was pretty hard for me. My mom took my elder brother with her and I was supposed to live with my dad. He had a hard time raising me.
I've started an apprenticeship in 2001. I've worked as a office assistent in a company that fit buildings with computer networks. The exams were in summer 2004 and I passed the practical test with 97%. And yeah, I was proud of it.
In August 2006, or maybe September 2006 - I can't remember exactly - was the first time when I saw Dog The Bounty Hunter on television. I was just zapping around, because there was nothing interesting on tv - and I stopped at RTL2, which is the german tv station that aires the show. If I remember right the first episode I saw was "Women Of Waikiki" - I've zapped into the channel when they told Leland to stay in the car while they're shopping at the police supply store. At that time I didn't know that it would turn out the way it is now. Yup, that's how it started for me.
Last year I've moved out because I got a job in another city - about 350 miles away. I've worked at a travel agency and I managed all the paper work and I did the marketing things. I've designed offers for the website, newspaper advertisements and other things like that. It was a great time - but I've had to move back because my mom wasn't doing good and I wanted to help her out.
Right now I'm living almost next to my mom, so I can visit her anytime she needs me. My dad is visiting me every week to check out how his little girl is doing. Sadly I'm not in contact with my brother anymore. I've tried my best to stay in contact with him, but he obviously doesn't want to. I wish I could help him...
Currently I'm working at a nursing home for old people. It's totally different to the jobs I had before and it's a new experience. I will be working there until christmas and will be possibly be back in January for another 4 or 5 weeks. I really enjoy it to help them old people - and you can see how thankful they are when they're smiling back at you.
I'm happy with my life in the meantime - we all have our ups and downs. But that's alright. :)
