MEMORIAL DAY

May 17, 2008

A DAY TO REMEMBER THOSE WHO HAVE PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE.

For many, this day is a day of cookouts (luau's), family gatherings, and sports events. Most consider this day the unofficial beginning of summer.

What this day is really about, often goes unnoticed. It is the day we should remember all of the brave men and women who have died during military service for our great country.

Politics aside, we should take time to remember those who have given their lives in service and those who have served in our armed forces.

So this Memorial Day, take time to remember our veterans and say a prayer on their behalf.

Aloha,

The Shark

I couldn't agree with ou more. Last fall we lost one of are own in Irag by an IED. He was 21 and such a sweet kid. He was due to come home in 2 weeks but they extended his tour. His final resting place is at the end of my street along with my father and grandfather who are both veterens. I make sure to pay my respects to our fallen soldier whenever we take a walk to visit with my family who is laid to rest there. It still hits me hard.
