Sat Feb. 2nd- HAPPY DAY! It is Dog’s Birthday! And Ground Hog day! How about that? I don’t know if the Ground Hog saw his shadow or not…but I know I am sure ready for SPRING TIME!

I’m Karen, 29, and live in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, GB. I have an 11 year old son called Shane Lee, who is my life. He lives with my Mum though as a few years back I got myself mixed up in drugs, and was a heroin and crack addict, and ended up homeless. But 3 years ago I turned myself around, and got on a methadone programme, and have sorted my self out. I’ve been clean from the drugs 3 years in October, and in Febuary it will be 2 years since I came off the Methadone. My friend who is also an ex-addict and works as part of the community drugs team now, got me watching Dog, she told me how good it was, and now Dog is my habit lol! No seriously though, I watch it and often I think I wish I’d had dog catch me, right in the early days of my addiction, as he shows these guys such compassion (once the cuffs are on lol!), and if I’d had someone who had been through similar things and got through them, talk to me maybe I wouldn’t have had a habit for, and lost 3 and a half years of my own life, and my sons life. My son still lives with my Mum as he is settled with her, and shortly after he’d lost me to the drugs, my Dad died – who was mine, and my son’s favourite person in the world. So my little boy really had his world rocked there for a while, and I don’t want to cause him any more upset by taking him away from his grandma now where he is happy. I still get to see him, and am going in the next couple of days to spend Christmas with him. I have a cat called Tiggy, who is a spoilt princess, and curls up on my knee with me to watch Dog lol! She is my other baby, I love animals.

I am totally hot for Leland – he is GORGEOUS!!!! Wow, he can hunt me anytime lol!! When I first heard the theme tune for DTBH, instantly I was like that’s Ozzy – it’s got to be, my Dad virtually bottlefed me on Black Sabbath when I was little, so I looked on-line, and that’s when I came across this site – and found a home for my little dog obsessed self lol!! Looking forward to getting to know some other dog fans, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed these awful times for the Chapman family are soon over, I’m thinking of you guys ;-)
